Making Father's Day Memories

No cares and worries on a very HOT but relaxing sunny day.

Chuck and Aubrey try to enjoy the slip and slide! Aubrey couldn't quite get herself to slide because she thought the water was too cold!

Later in the day we meet up with Grandma & Grandpa Hilbrant and Grandma & Grandpa Gipson for a peaceful day on the lake. This was Aubrey's first time and she just fell in love with the boats......she can't wait till the next time.

We all had a wonderful time and reflected on how we need to slow down and do things like this more often.

This is proof that I'm blessed. I thank God everyday that He has given me such a beautiful gift.

A Fresh New Look!

We have been wanting to repaint the shutters and front door on our house from the day we moved in! Finally we found a weekend that we had good weather and both had time to get our project done. Aubrey lends her 4 year old photography skills to shoot the first picture of me painting. Chuck had to hang out of Aubrey's bedroom window to attach the shutters and I did a few touch ups. If you look close Aubrey is peeking out right below me to watch daddy snap the shot.

We are both very happy with how the project turned out. Next project.....cut down the tree that butts up to the corner of the house!

My Little Photographer!

Aubrey has taken up photography! She enjoys running around the house taking pictures of anything and everything! Here she thought it would be a good idea to take a self portrait. Her arms aren't quite long enough to get her entire face! The nice thing about digital......she can take as many shots as she wants and I don't waste any film!!

We have been in our new house for about a year and a half now. I have really enjoyed spending time outside this year. Aubrey is at the age that she just loves to play with her bike that "santa" gave her for Christmas and her new scooter that she just got this last weekend. She also has a pair of roller blades that she loves! We spend almost every evening outside when I get home from work.

Aubrey finished her first year of pre-school on Thursday!
She had a very special lady as her teacher for the year. Mrs. Duling was great with all the kids and Aubrey loved her!
