Spring Break!

Aubrey goes on a spring break trip to grandma and grandpa Hilbrant's. Her bags are packed and she looked so cute that I needed a picture. Right before I was ready to snap the picture she runs off to get something. Coming back with a picture of the gp's she tells me that they need to be in the picture too!
I'm sure that by the end of the week my parents will be ready for a vacation themselves! Hope you all have a great week! See you on Friday!

See What the Easter Bunny Brought!

I've Been Tagged

HERE'S HOW YOU PLAY. ONCE YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED YOU HAVE TO WRITE A BLOG OF TEN WEIRD, RANDOM THINGS, FACTS OR HABITS ABOUT YOURSELF. AT THE END, YOU CHOOSE FIVE PEOPLE TO BE TAGGED, LISTING THEIR NAMES AND WHY YOU CHOSE THEM TO BE TAGGED. DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE THEM A COMMENT "YOU'RE IT" AND TO READ YOUR BLOG. YOU CAN'T TAG THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU. SINCE YOU CAN'T TAG THAT PERSON BACK, LET HIM OR HER KNOW WHEN YOU'VE POSTED YOUR BLOG SO HE OR SHE CAN READ YOUR ANSWERS.

Okay, here it goes. I will do my best to come up with ten. If not I guess whatever I come up with will just have to be good enough!

1. I have this grand plan to make all of Aubrey's spring and summer clothing. I figure the only store bought will be that from last year that might still fit. Ask me at the end of summer how much I actually made. I bet I will have broken down and bought at least half of it!

2. With all the crafty creative ability I have I still have no desire to learn to knit.

3. After redoing the flooring in my entire house last fall I now feel like I can tackle any project. Almost!

4. I robbed the cradle when I got married. Chuck is nine years younger then me.

5. Aubrey is my only child and there are no plans to have another. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.

6. I must lead a very dull life as I'm strugging to come up with more here!

7. If I could pick anywhere in the states to live other then where I live right now it would be Colorado.

8. I managed a fabric store for about nine years a long time ago and to this day I still don't miss it.

9. My job now is being a receptionist/secretary/assistant in an accounting firm. Even though I'm extremely busy this time of year I still like what I do. Because I'm doing what I'm doing in a small firm I have lots of freedom to pick Aubrey up at pre-school etc. I love the flexability I have.

10. .....I'm so close! I can't quit now but I'm having a hard time coming up with another! hummm, let me see........Okay...what about, I hate to shop. Yep.....I would rather sit at the computer and order everything on line then to go to the mall or stores. Don't get me wrong, I still shop....It's just not my favorite thing to do.

Well, there are my ten. This is the point that I have to tag others but to be honest I don't have anyone else to tag.

Now many Hilbrants can you fit in a church pew?

Twelve of us walked from Grandma and Grandpa Hilbrant's to church a block away.

I don't think we could have fit another person in the pew with us! Next door neighbor Roger joins us. The kids were really good and quiet. I couldn't have asked for more.
The traditional family photo. No holiday would be complete without one.

Easter Part One

We started the morning off with an Easter egg hunt. Aubrey also gets a basket with a new baseball glove and new crayons. Notice the snow on the ground outside the living room window. Will the snow ever end?

Easter Egg Photos!

Training to be a Plumber !

As you know we have done some major work on the flooring in our home. One other big project we plan to do someday is replace the kitchen counter, sink, faucet and dishwasher. But, because it takes years to fill the sink etc. I could wait no longer on the faucet! It would run at not much more then a dribble.

So, here Aubrey is learning to install the faucet. She made a good little helper and because of that I was off the hook!

Here is my new faucet. I actually like the looks of it. It was picked out due to price and not looks since it will more then likely be replaced again later when we have our kitchen re-do.

It's the little things that excite me!

I had posted some of these pictures earlier and tonight went in to edit something and lost the post. I don't have the energy to go back and recreate what I posted earlier so for now I'll just share a few pictures. There are some pictures of Aubrey at our Medic Family Bowling day last Sunday. Great time was had by all.

GRANDPARENTS DAY AT PRESCHOOL

Grandma and Grandpa Hilbrant and Grandma and Grandpa Gipson joined Aubrey at her school for grandparents day. Aubrey and I prepared sack lunches for each of her guests and herself to enjoy. Aubrey got up nice and early to make sure she was cleaned up for the day and dressed up in her finest. We had been shopping the night before for a new dress to where. When the teacher told her she needed to "dress up" for the event she assumed that meant she could wear Snow White, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty! I of course was the bearer of bad news and told her that "dressing up" didn't always mean "playing dress up". Although she finally saw it my way and wore something else she still wasn't happy about it!

It seems that Aubrey is just like her mother. The children got up in front of the grandparents (and there was a ton of them!) and sang a song or two. Seems she wasn't none to happy about this and didn't sing. She didn't even stay up on the stage for the full program. She walked down and sat with the teacher. Yep, that is me at that age!

Thank you grandma's and grandpa's for being a part of Aubrey's special day at school.
