VALENTINE'S DAY {and being caught up in my blog.....kinda}

we made valentine cookie bouquets for all the grandma's (grandpa's too) for valentine's day....

i think they turned out really nice....and they were fun to make!

i did tell them all that they weren't edible!  my oven was on the verge of going to appliance heaven and i couldn't keep the darn thing turned on....so the temp went up.....then down....over and over until the cookies were nice and crispy....

we bought a new oven the other day......



AWANA

every tuesday night i drive home from work, pick up aubrey, go home, eat quick, do last minute bible memory review, load back up in my driving machine, drive to marissa's house, then drive to isabella's house, drive to church across town while listening the the girls tell silly story's to each other....

we attend AWANA clubs at our church and marissa and issy are two of the friends that are in aubrey's second grade class that come with us each week......another friend that we used to take now brings a friend and two siblings so she has out grown my car.....

this is the first year that aubrey has been in AWANA clubs....she loves it!!  is is a SPARKY....which is K-2nd grade.....

when she discovered that she would receive a trophy for finishing all three of the sparky books she dug right in and is now just 3 jewels away from her goal. 

now, while getting all her little awards each week and finishing three books in one year is a good thing....the most important thing is what she is learning!

catching up............

because i've been bad at posting to the blog lately (two months exactly) i thought it was time to do a little catching up................

these photos are just a few from the blizzard we had the first week of february.........

i don't remember the exact amount of snow we received.....17 to 20 inches i think on top of what we already had...

but the snow had to go somewhere.....

chuck's dad cleared off most of the drive way and the only place for the snow was near the shed....so it made for some great tunnels!

also made for a great way to tower to the top of the shed!

was fun to get so much snow....but only this once!  i'm sure i wouldn't think so if we got this much all the time.........
