GRANDPARENTS DAY AT PRESCHOOL

Grandma and Grandpa Hilbrant and Grandma and Grandpa Gipson joined Aubrey at her school for grandparents day. Aubrey and I prepared sack lunches for each of her guests and herself to enjoy. Aubrey got up nice and early to make sure she was cleaned up for the day and dressed up in her finest. We had been shopping the night before for a new dress to where. When the teacher told her she needed to "dress up" for the event she assumed that meant she could wear Snow White, Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty! I of course was the bearer of bad news and told her that "dressing up" didn't always mean "playing dress up". Although she finally saw it my way and wore something else she still wasn't happy about it!

It seems that Aubrey is just like her mother. The children got up in front of the grandparents (and there was a ton of them!) and sang a song or two. Seems she wasn't none to happy about this and didn't sing. She didn't even stay up on the stage for the full program. She walked down and sat with the teacher. Yep, that is me at that age!

Thank you grandma's and grandpa's for being a part of Aubrey's special day at school.
